Wednesday began my adventures in Prague or Praha, Czech Republic. Immediately, I was in awe with the variety and intricacy of architecture within the city. A building built in the 21st century could be standing adjacent to another built in the 13th century.
I reunited with my parents (woo!), and we are staying right near the Old Town Square. While this location is filled with tourists bustling around the square, we can still enjoy morning and evening strolls and marvel at the history standing before us.

Of course some of the most important photos are the food we eat and the coffee (also beer) we drink. So this post is focused more around the delicious things we have ordered over the past few days. Below is a vegan pinsa or pizza covered in fresh vegetables, vegan cheese, and a phenomenal tomato sauce. This was my first meal in Praha, and quite a memorable one.

Like many places in Europe, Praha's latte art is quite on point. You can hardly tell a difference between the dairy and non-dairy milk! However, I must say I've learned I do not enjoy oat milk in my cappuccinos as much as almond or soy milk. (It seems oat milk is cheaper here, hence the choice of this dairy alternative to the other mainstream options.)

Our first beer of the trip: a dunkel and weiss beer combined together! (Of course my dad and I shared...)

Right outside of our hotel, we ran into a daily market place, offering food, drinks, local and handmade leathers, ornaments, and clothing. Pictured here, a shop owner was hand weaving a garment similar to those in the background of this image. His products were phenomenal and absolutely gorgeous. This was a lovely way to be introduced to Prague after a long travel on the train.

Yesterday, we embarked on a journey with a local guide who offered us a selection of vegan eats and Praha history. He showed us a vegetarian and veg-friendly restaurant, an entirely vegan restaurant, and a vegan raw-food restaurant. Surprisingly enough, these cheesecakes and pies were from the raw-food restaurant and by far the best stop on the trip. While I didn't need to be convinced that being vegan doesn't limit you to grass and berries, I enjoyed the sweet but tangy reminder of how tasty vegan desserts can be!

Today, I clocked in around 19000 steps from our trek up 15 flights of stairs to the Prague Castle. Here is the magnificent St. Vitus cathedral with breathtaking Gothic architecture adorning each portion of the church. This is one of the many images depicting the splendid beauty of the castle grounds. We only saw a handful of sites such as this cathedral, St. George's Basicila, and numerous local shops, but the steps were worth it. (Of course they also meant the trek downhill was a lot easier!)

Igor even found some of his brethren among the shops in the castle!
