This week has included many travels. Sunday I began my adventures in Marburg for Fulbright Orientation, yesterday I traversed the city as a personal tour guide for friends, and today I biked over 50 km to travel to Brandenburg.
Marburg was fantastic. While we were there to learn information, we were also meeting so many new people. I thoroughly enjoyed the connections I made on this trip. We also had the opportunity to tour the area and eat inside of the castle!
It was short-lived, but I was thankful to go back home and sleep in my own room. However, I didn’t have too much time to rest: yesterday was tour time for some friends from America.
It was so exciting to show them around my new city! We were able to see so many things that were not typical tourist things, which I was glad to show them. We visited numerous neighborhoods, and I showed them where I currently live, and where I will live next month. For the first time, I experienced Berlin in a car - which made me thankful for public transport. As pictured here, parking is impossible (we were the middle car.)
Today I tagged along with my host mom and her friends. We began in northern Berlin, and 8 hours later, we arrived to our hotel.
This ride was especially exciting because we rode on the Radweg which is a route only for bikes! It was absolutely gorgeous.
Tomorrow we continue our biking - maybe to Poland!! (Probably not, but it’s fun to say that I‘m going to another country and that it is so easy to do so.)
schlaf gut! Alles gut in Deutschland 😊
