This week involved a series of accomplishments for me: I found a beautiful skirt I had been searching for since seeing it in Prague (pictured below), I received enrollment information for Potsdam and am almost officially a student, found my new favorite coffee shop, cooked for my host family as a thank you to them, and danced all the night away.
Pictured here is the amazing cappuccino I was allowed to taste test for me to choose my coffee beans. Today was my final coffee with my beans from drip in Columbia which was a nostalgic moment for me.
Last night I had a beautiful view of the city from a roof-top bar and then moved the party to a techno club. I’m enjoying my time with all the Fulbrighters and exploring new areas.
I unfortunately do not have a picture, but I thoroughly enjoyed making pizza for my host family. i made the dough and then made all three of us personal pizzas. Sadly, I accidentally bought raw meat instead of salami for Wanja, so I had a learning experience about meat buying: I probably should not be given the task to buy it.
In a couple days I move to my next home, and I’m excited but also a little sad. I quickly befriended my guest family and felt like I was part of their famIly. I look forward to keeping in touch with them but am also excited to move on to my next adventures!
